GIMP - New to GIMP - Can you contain all windows into one window?

Question

What I mean is can you contain all the windows including the

main GIMP window, Layers/Channels/Paths etc. window, and the new document window [where you draw]

into one window similar to Photoshop?

I've heard of GIMPshop but I'd rather not download that program.

At the moment: No, you can't. But development goes on and in the future versions beginning with GIMP 2.6 the tool window will be merged with the image window. A test version (Linux only) can be downloaded at GIMP.org: http://gimp.org

At the moment you'll need to download GIMPShop to have image and tool window merged.
