GIMP:How to change skin colour?

1. use the fuzzy select tools(magic wand icon) to select the skin area, adjust the threshold(90-120 to start depends on skin color) to get most of the skin area selected, if the skin area are separated by clothes, hold shift to click skin areas.

2. go to menu, layer, colors, color balance, move the sliders to change color, click preview to see the effect,

3. go to menu, layer, colors, brightness and contrast, change the brightness and the contrast, check preview to see if the effect is expected.

4. go to menu, layer, colors, hue-saturation, move the saturation slider, check preview for excess or exaggeration.

During the above, it is advisable to open the same pic for comparison and to avoid overdone.
