  1. YES! Always have  extra pads handy with a flow a bit heavier than regular. Also keep a pair of panties and maybe a tampon (get a lighter one)

And always have in it there!

  2. I Started getting my period when I was 8 so I've been through all of this before, just be thankful that you didn't start AT school. As many others have said wear a tampon and/or pantyliner. Try to keep extra panties AND some extra pants if possible in your locker just in case. And of course Advil or Midol is always handy...if you can take it a day or two before you know you're going to get your period it can reduce the severity of any cramps you may get:) Good luck!

  3. Just change your pad every couple hours depending on how heavy your flow is, that way nothing will leak. I used to bring a purse with me to school and keep an extra pad in their that way if I had to change my pad nobody would see me carrying it into the washroom from my locker or taking it out of my bag. And make sure you carry a few Advil on you just in case cuz cramps can be a killer!!

    Hope I helped darling

  4. Make sure you have a pad with wings and make sure you change them often as needed (depending on how heavy the flow is). You can get pads of different thickness too, so you can go longer without needing to change it. Go to the bathroom between classes to see if you need to change them. Always have extra pads. If you want, keep an extra set of pants in your locker.

  5. Wear long thick  overnight pads,  and bring extra pants with you or always ahve a sweater just in case so you can tie it arund your waste.. and change your pad often .. then you have no worries.

  6. I agree that carrying back up is always a good idea.  And tampon plus pad or pantiliner is double the protection, but that is assuming that you know when you are going to get your period.  If you happen to start unexpectedly, that is a different story.  You are often irregular when you are young, but I would still try to track it on your calendar so 28 days later or so wear a pantiliner everyday just in case.  I always have a "warning" day where the first day of my period is very light, and usually just a brown discharge so there is little chance of a real accident.  A pantiliner should catch that.

  7. Wearing a tampon plus a pad is definitely the easiest answer, but I can understand if tampons scare you a bit... personally the idea weirded me out for years.

I'm sure that everyone is different, but personally, I find that I have a few hours between when I notice my period starting and when it gets really heavy. It's not like there's some kind of switch inside you, and BANG, all of a sudden, you go from nothing to flood. :) So, on the week you figure it will be coming, make sure to carry pads and extra underwear, and maybe make a point of going to the bathroom an extra time, even if you don't need to go. I'm not saying go every hour, but it will make you more comfortable to check on everything regularly, until you learn how heavy your flow is on which days etc. Also, keep in mind that having your period once doesn't mean it will be back right away. Personally, I had months and even years between periods, until I went on the pill to get it all regulated. Good luck kiddo!

  8. well if you bleed really heavy wear a tampon and a pad. but you should def. always have pads with you at school. im not sure about carring the panties though, i think thats a little weird. haha =D

  9. wear overnight pads they are long and wont leak

    keep extra pads

bring panties fold them small carry them in your back pack

----if you wore tampons and a pad everything would be better no leaks 100 percent free

  10. dont wait till your pad is full i change when its not even necasery but ya it helps!! (im 12)

  11. wear a pantilyner they protect you from leaking but aren't as big and annoying as pads. Or you can bring a lite black sweater and tie it around your waist in case that does happen keep it in your locker. But your moms idea is the best I think

  12. If you are really worried about leaking through your pants when you get your period unexpectadly, wear a thin panty liner. Usually you will be able to know when you are going to have your period, cramps, PMS, or even exactly when your period (dampness in your underpants) I recommend a pantie liner. I wear them everyday, just in case. And don't sweat it lots of girls probably are worrying just as much as you.

  13. wear pads that go inside the underwear.

it wont leak just change it frequently
