GIS certificate?

Anyone ever get a GIS certificate and how did you use it. Do you know of good webs to peruse for careers when one has this certificate. Yes, I love maps and globes and those sort of things. thanks.

I have a GIS Diploma (3 year advanced Technology).

I combined it with a degree in environment and resource assessment and an working as an environmental consultant doing GIS for remediation and pre-disturbance assessments.  I've also working on ground water protection and landfill remediation.

As for where to get it, it depends where you live.  If you live in Canada I would suggest the College of Geographic Sciences in Nova Scotia or Algonquin College in Ottawa.  If you are in the US, I would suggest checking out the USGS is Boulder Co or some community colleges there that may have it.
