GLASSES question?

well, i just got new glasses yesterday, that look alot like this:

and they keep makin a cracking sound

and my friend says that its just cause theyre new

is that true, or are they gonna break?

  1. yeah, it's because your glasses are new and probably because the material of your glasses is made of plastic.

    Mine's plastic too and they tend to make cracking sounds (than glasses made of other materials) whenever I wore them, but eventually after wearing for quite some time, the sounds wouldn't be there anymore.

    So dont worry ! :)


  2. It's not that rare.

    Give them a wash in lukewarm soapy water.

    If the creak/crack is coming from the junction of the lenses and the frame, the soap will ease that: it will vanish in time anyway.

    If it's coming from the side hinges, a tiny drop of sewing machine oil should fix it.

  3. Yeah, its probably normal. The glasses are being broken in so it may make a cracking sound but after a while it will go away.

  4. i think its because they are new. when i got my glasses they would do that cracking sound and i took them back and asked what was wrong with them and he explained that they were new and they have to get use to your shape of face
