I'd say global warming. This is only because if the earth gets hot enough then ALL the ice caps, glaciers, Antarctica, and Greenland will one day completely melt. Then tht means tht the earth will flood except for maybe some patches of land, of higher altitudes of the lands.

Global cooling is worse. In the years prior to 1300s there

was a spell of very warm weather called the "Little Optimum"

the weather was much warmer on Earth even than now. Crops were abundant and Humankind thrived. This was

followed by "The Little Ice Age". a period of very cold very

wet weather that lasted for several decades. People starved

to death because crops failed.
