No one to date has shown any scientific study that shows a given amount of CO2 raises Temperature a given amount. If it is so definite that CO2 raises temperature then show me that an increase of say...100 ppm of CO2  raises temperature say 10 F.  YOU CAN'T!  They are so sure that we are polluting the Earth with CO2 and that it causes the temperature to rise.  Can any of you Global Warming Wingnuts out there tell me what the "normal" temperature of the earth is suppose to be? I didn't think so. For starters you have to have a baseline temperature in order to determine if the temperature is getting hotter or cooler. So they use the current global temperatures or maybe those of the last 100 years as a base line....is our current average temperature the norm for Earth or was it 10,000 years ago? It is all  based on conjecture. The Earth warms and cools in it's natural cycle.....every scientist will agree with that.

Think about what these wingnuts are saying.....The temperature is going to rise 10 degrees in the next 30 years or 100 years.....They can't reliably predict what it is going to do next week or tomorrow and you think they can predict the temperature in the next few decades?  I just have to laugh when I here this non-sense.   Keep on supplying my source of humor wingnuts.....

And you liberals still go on believing a lie just because it sounds good or makes you feel good but you still are swallowing the lie without them showing you any concrete evidence.  

The fact is we do not have the capability to destroy this planet permanently. We could detonate every single nuclear weapon on the face of the Earth simultaneously and the Earth will still be here and would re-vegetate itself within a few decades as the seed bank in the soil would still survive. Of course the animals and us might not survive, but the earth would still be here. Now of course that is an exaggeration that none of us want to see come to pass, but it illustrates a point. You liberals problem is that you want everything to stay exactly as it is right now...no change.  That in and of itself goes against nature.  The planet was designed to take care of itself.  Any CO2 in the atmosphere is used by the plant life of the planet....Sigh...man I am exhausted by all the ignorance and people willing to be led by claims without evidence!  People educate yourselves and learn....don't accept blindly anything anyone tells you....check it out.

There are many signs in Nature ,all over the world .

Perhaps you do not live in nature and are unaware that there is a problem

One degree raise in temperature already means 10% crop loss

Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation,desertification... wind and Water erosion,soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources and air pollution.

Calculations do not include the accumulative ,speeding up ,factor with time. the increase in water temperature will get faster all the time as well as the melting, when the ice is all gone the deeper cold Ocean currents will be drastically affected,which in turn will affect the warm currents,since all moving bodies of water are connected in series.

This will affect coastal climates ,world wide ,almost instantly. All aquatic flora and fauna will be affected,many dying off and others becoming invasive,

And recently In Chiapas ,and Tabasco in Mexico .more then a million people became homeless overnight with water coming up to their roofs ,because of rains from super evaporation from the forests,this had never happened before. Millions of animals died.

In India 3000 people died because of super storms .

.A few years ago in Europe 3500 people,died during a heat wave ,many of them in France .

Right now the average death toll annually is 150.000 due to Global warming

. these figures are already out of date and are expected to double soon.

In Northern China millions of people are running for their lives because regular dust storms so far have buried 900 villages under the sand and the whole of northern China is turning into a dessert.

The Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year all around the edges ,like a slow burning fire shriveling up their neighbors In the Kalahari huge rivers have dried up and thousand of species are gone due to their habitats disappearing .

The biggest changes are invisible at micro biotic levels species are becoming extinct ,others are multiplying ,

This affects the insect populations that follow ,and changes in that ,affect all that follows in the food chains ,

in the last 300 years half of the planets forests have gone

and in the last 50 years

half of our wet lands ,rain forests and ice fields .and 3000 species of animals .

We are now witnessing a mass Extinction of animals and plants of Biblical proportions,equal since the disappearance of the dinosaurs

I am all for Global Warming so I am not concerned as to whether it is man made or not! After all there is much more diverse life in the rain forests than in the tundra. Plus food shortage would come to an end because most of the land is north of the frost line. Global Warming would open all this land up to farming.

Although we don't know what the future holds, global warming is predicted and strongly believed in by many scientists. We create pollution and in so many years the oil will eventually run out, the o-zone layer has had some serious damage and has quite a few holes in it so scientists say. Lately lots of supermarkets now give you recyclable biodegradable paper bags which are better for the environment. I believe that in so many years global warming will happen so I'm recycling trying to make  better future for my great-great-great-great granchildren will have a good life. Which I suggest everybody should do.

Recycle, walk instead of a car or bus, reuse a shopping bag, plant a tree etc.

Yeah, it's true.  The science isn't new.  People have known about this for a long time.  The main effects you can see right now is the glaciers and polar caps are melting very fast.  When the mountaintop glacier are gone, the major rivers that supply most of the worlds water will go dry.  That's as little as 10 years for some glaciers, as much as 50 for others.  Here's why it's happening.

CO2 is found in small amounts in the atmosphere but is the most active common gas in retaining atmospheric heat, as shown by Tyndall in 1859

Humans have raised the level of CO2 a measureable, but quantitatively small amount. Qualitatively though, the increase is around a 40% increase over the pre-industrial value. Estimates made in 1957 were able to predict this increase for the 20th Century.

Every doubling of CO2 has been considered to equate to an increase in temperature of 5-6°C based on bench top experiments of Arrhenius in 1896. These experiments are very reproducible. The observed rise in temperature of the earth's has been more like 1 degree C, leading some to argue that the actual predicted rise should be more like 0-1 degree C. However, if you use the observed change in CO2 and the observed change in temperature you get a value of 2.5 degrees for every doubling of CO2, which is around the commonly accepted value.

Rises of 4 degrees C above where we are now have in the past been associated with the six known mass extinctions but not other periods (not including the era before life on land).  Humans evolved at the peak of the last ice age, and can handle a drop of 10 degrees easily.  No higher form of life has ever survived a rise of more than 4 degrees.

I believe this.....HEAR ME OUT: (look at a clock) Humans have been on this planet for ONE second, that's one little tick of the clock.....while our earth has been around for 24HOURS.....It is not a question IF you believe global warming exists... it is the fact that we as humans have impacted this planted in such a negative way in so little time we have existed here ... how can our waters be SO dirty, our ozone deteriorating , our forests and plant life be so scarce? WE endanger whole species and erase them of the planet.... I believe it is not a gimmick.... I DO think because we have environmental problems, our high cooperation companies took this into their advantage.... hybrid cars,energy saving refrigerators etc will HELP the environment, BUT if we have to SAVE this planet, WHY are they so EXPENSIVE... they are using this to their advantage....If we actually do want to save this planet, things that reduce our impact on the earth MUST be affordable for everyone..... just because you don't believe in "global warming" does not give people the right to push away the fact that we are ruining our beautiful planet... if you look at the 10 last hottest years they all have accrued in the last fourteen years and like there is something called the ozone layer and like because of the over loading gas emissions there is too much and now there is a hole in the ozone layer. this layer is the one that helps us prevent skin cancer and other types of danger
