  1. I am a warranty administrator for a Chevrolet-Cadillac dealership. I speak from experience. I have seen more problems from the installation of an aftermarket radio in the newer models. I am not trying to discourage you by any means, please understand.

There are many different things that are run through the radio and some models actually do not play well with aftermarket installations. Please do some added research other than what you find here.

Something that I have thought about is installing a separate system. This seems to be a good alternative to removing the factory unit. It could be costly, but you would not lose functionality of the factory set-up. We gripe about the way that engineers work things together too!

  2. Check out crutchfield.com they will tell you everything you need to know about changing the radio in your GM Along with directions on how to install it yourself.

  3. I bought a aftermarket LAN screen from schoche and it didnt work so i bought  a metrik kit that works well

  4. its no problem the biggest thing removing the dash cover but don't cut the wires unplug and go to radio shack they have a adapter to fit your new radio
