GMAT: I am NOT good at math?

I am planning on taking the GMAT exam soon and I am still studying / practicing. The problem is that when I look at the GMAT Official Guide for Quantitative book I am turned off by the math problems presented in the book. This is because my math skill is Ok. I have experienced difficulties in trying to solve math word problems from the book because word problems are very tricky. This is making me think that I will not do good on the quantitative section of the actual GMAT exam.

When I read a word problem in the GMAT quantitative section my mind goes blank and I won't have any idea how to solve the problem because each time I read a math word problem my mind shuts down which gives me difficulties in solving the problem.

What suggestions do you have for me on how best to attack math word problems on the quantitative section of the GMAT test? Do you know of any math formulas that has a focus on helping me solve math word probolems without much difficulties?

Thank you

  1. Try to just leave out the words and focus on the numbers mentioned in the test and what the question is telling you what to do with the numbers.

  2. gawd dont stress

i can do hardly anything in maths but i dont care

if your not good enough for the exam it either means you havent tried hard enough or simply cant do enough so its not really your fault & get a life
