GMC 6.0L or 8.1L V8?

Question

Alright, lookin at the GMC trucks, 04-07 models.

I would really like to have the 6.0L or 8.1L,

And I would like to get some answers from anyone!

Gas mileage?

Can you get either of these in a 1500HD, or better off with the 2500 or 2500 HD?

Can you even get an 8.1L in a GMC?

I would really apreciate alot any info on the 8.1L

Better than the 6.0L in gas? power?

And any other pointers/tips on what to look for get is aprreciated!
