  1. My grandmother takes something similar for alzheimers...very similar...the huperziine is as good as the drugs.  It works good for her memory but it took about 3 months to work..  I don't think that is something you want if you need something right now for helping you stay up and study for finals.  DMAE can help with memory and focusing very quickly faster than herbs...so that may be worth a try.

DMAE is known chemically as dimethyl-amino-ethanol. DMAE has been known in Europe by the product name Deanol for more than three decades. DMAE has two methyl groups and is chemically similar to choline. DMAE has been popular for many years in those interested in improving mental alertness and clarity of thinking.

Those who regularly take DMAE have reported both sleeping more soundly and being more energetic when awake.

I'm sure you can get it at GNC.

  2. Well, it's got a good variety of ingredients that are really good for brain health, which can help with memory and/or focus. According to the GNC website, it has Ginkgo, Fish Oil, Phosphatidylserine, and Huperzine A. Some are higher doses, some are lower, but overall, it's a good assortment of ingredients... I just wouldn't pay that high of a price for it by any means.

One thing to remember is that it takes some time to notice the benefits of these ingredients... it's not an "instant affect" product (nor are most supplements), so it's better to take it on a daily basis. Good luck with your studies!
