Think about the products we buy that should be recycled & aren't - from corporations to neighborhood businesses. Who are the responsible merchants in GOING GREEN & who are not?
Dry cleaners don’t take back the plastic that is placed over garments that are cleaned. If you return hangers to them, they will take them back to keep their costs down & that is great for the environment! But, shouldn’t they be responsible in taking back the plastic to be recycled to re-use instead of filling landfills w/ this stuff?
What other products should be required to be recycled that are not? We all need to contact our local, state & federal authorities in this to protect our environments.
If you haven’t already, start checking packing materials for the little triangle icon that shows if something is recyclable or not.
Check to find out what your Recycling Program (waste disposal) groups are really doing about sorting the items that can be recycled. Are THEY doing their part?
