But, are there any places that i could just go and hang out without any entrance fees..in other words those places are FREE but attractive for tourist like me. I also need answer for places in Brisbane too.thanks for all your answers.

  1. In addition to the Southbank Parklands suggestion for Brisbane, take a round trip CityCat ride on the river - Southbank is one of the stops on the route. It's not free, but it's a commuter ferry and the fare is very low. Get a 2 zone daily or off-peak daily ticket ($5.40 or $4.10) and you can travel anywhere on bus, ferry (including CityCat) or train and break your journey as many times as you wish on that day.

Get off the CityCat at New Farm Park and walk across the park to the huge Moreton Bay fig trees. A kids playground has been built up in the trees and it's well worth seeing (and climbing around in even for really big kids).

The University of Queensland at the other end of the route is also worth visiting.

Catch a commuter bus to the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens at Toowong.

From Southbank, walk across the Goodwill Bridge to the City Botanical Gardens.

Southbank is also next door to the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art. All are free.

Can't help for the Gold Coast - never go there.

  2. Brisbane try Southbank parkland's http://www.visitsouthbank.com.au/attract...

    Roma st parkland https://secure.publicworks.qld.gov.au/rs...

    Gold coast shopping centers beach

  3. I have no clue but I hope you tell me all about it later.

  4. beach, parks.....nothing much is free these days in the cities.
