  1. Well, sitting at the bottom of a tank is a sign of depression, or it being sad (yes they do get depressed) He probebly is lonely by himself. As far as the red bubble thing, you will have to contact a pet store or vet about and most likely show it to them because it isn't really clear. Take a picture of the fish and show it to them. They would be able to help you better. Surprisingly Petland has been a big help to me and my fish. Give them a call.

  2. Goldfish get large and need lots of room. It is a myth that they can live happily in a bowl. You need to get a 100 gallon tank to house all those fish, and if that catfish is  a normal catfish it will get big so 100 gallons is what is needed for a big catfish and goldfish.

  3. You need at least a 100 gallon tank for all those fish

    Once you do that....

    than we will talk

  4. Amanda,

Right now it is more likely that he is sick than lonely.  Before you can put him back in with his buddy, you need to get to the bottom of that strange red bubble.  My suggestion would be to go to your local pet store and ask someone there who knows a lot about fish if they can help you identify what is wrong.  There will be several medications you can choose from.  Just pick the one that most describes the red bubble.

Also, if your fishbowl has no filtration system, you may want to add one or get a tank that has it.  I can tell you care about your fish, so that would be a good way to keep them safe and healthy... a filter keeps the impurities out of the water.

    Best of luck!
