  1. If you want to buy a brand new set, just go to d**k's or something and get a whole set (PW-3 iron, 3wood, 5 wood, driver and a putter).  You can probably get something for less than $200.  If you don't mind shopping around, hit a few garage sales or something.  The thing is don't worry about the brand names yet, you'll just be wasting your money if you end up quitting after a few months.

    Something like this:

  2. i think that for u the best clubs are the callaways, there the easyier to hit, eventhougj when u have more experience u could change them for some mizuno clubs, he woods , the cleveleanda are the best¡¡¡¡bye

  3. d**k's does have a great selection of beginners clubs, but I have good luck looking for clubs at used equipment stores like 2nd Swing or possibly even Ebay.  Any cavity back iron is good for a beginer, older iron sets like Tommy Armour 845's or Taylor Made LCG's.  You can also find older Callaway Big Bertha Drivers for great prices these days.

  4. A good starter set is usually cheap, maybe used, but still useful. Brand should probably be 2nd or 3rd on your list right now, first look for something with a wide (1 inch or more) sole, and very bottom-heavy. These will be more forgiving. Brands like Ping, Callaway, or even Tour Edge or Wilson will carry options like these. Don't get too tied up in a name though, use what you find works. Good luck.
