  1. i have the same problem. i've tried everything- proactive, clinique, stridex pads, clean & clear..then i visited 2 dermatologists and tried more medicines-differin, lotions, soaps, and even some oral medicines like doryx. i tried using the topical creams, but they really dried out my skin and made it red and itchy so i stopped using it but i've been on the oral medicine for about a month and i think there has been an improvement. i've noticed there are less pimples (actual bumps) but i still have little red blotches underneath my skin...my mom said its scarring but idk. i think i'm going to try some chemical peels to get rid of that.

anyway..back to your question, i would just ask the doctor. why are you afraid to ask your mom? just be like "can you make an appointment with a doctor/derm to see if there is anything we can do about my skin?" the doctors don't really ask you anything..they might just ask what your normal routine is for washing your face and then they give you suggestions. just go!

    good luck!

  2. taking Zinc and vitamin A are very good for your skin. The results are very similar to or better than using typical acne drugs like Tetracycline and Accutane.

  3. YOU JUST ASKED THIS QUESTION

    EXACTLY THE SAME ONE BEFORE

  4. Go to clinque (if you haven't already been there). they have great products to clear up acne. they have a 3-step hypo-allergenic foaming acne cleanser with a clarifying lotion and moisturizer. my sister uses it and so did i and it works great. its $32.50 for the kit.

drink lots and lots of water. from what i have heard. water keeps your face smooth and acne free. it is a free, natural way to clear up and keep away acne.

the doctor could prescribe you a product called Differin that is a cream you apply after you wash your face in the morning and at night.
