  1. yes you can raise it but they better be good grades. and if you are going to withdraw make sure its within the deadlines because you still have to pay for it. I am taking three. If four you may need permission but usually not hard to get. Don't over do your self because you need the grades or you can loose financial aid.

  2. Now, I have yet to see a school that would not allow you to take however many classes you wanted to in the summer - providing you had a method of paying for them.  So I am not sure that is going to stop you from taking four.

However, here is why you should not take more than perhaps 2.  If you just had a hard time passing the full-time load and you want to improve your GPA, you can focus more on a lighter class load and potentially do better in few classes at a time.  Doing what you can to get the highest grade possible in each of those classes is going to get you a better net return result on raising your GPA, rather than overloading your schedule and possibly doing more harm than good in the long run.

Talk to an academic adviser on campus.  They can help you formulate a plan for rehabbing your GPA and it will help you if they are considering financial aid or academic probation against you because they will see you care about doing better.  Best course of action.

  3. straight c's.

  4. no school will let you take 4 classes this summer if its a short 8 week semester.  The most you will be allowed to take is 2, possibly 3 if you get special permission.

Check to make sure your plan is even possible.
