i've been getting a loooot of different answers for this question.

but i want to pursue a pharmacy career

and i heard the gppa program at uic was an ideal place to start.

however, i've heard that its just like 0-6 programs at like.. lets say massachusetts college of pharmacy where you dont need a BA and you just get in as a freshman and just work for 6 years to get your pharmd.

but then i've also heard that uic requires a BA to enter the gppa program?!

im so confuuused!!

can anyone answer this question and telll me how long it would take to get a pharmD through the gppa program?

it would be nice if someone could juxtapose uic and massachusetts college of pharmacy and health services.

  1. GPPA is UIC's guarantee to it's pharmacy program.  You don't need to have a BA to get into GPPA, however, UIC's guarantee requires you to complete a BA to enter the College of Pharmacy.  This makes it an 8 year program (or 7 if you have a lot of AP credit) instead of MCP's 6 year.
