GPS NAVEGATIOR for my car?

I WANT TO BUY A GPS FOR MY CAR MY FRIEND IS SELLING ME ONE BUT WHAT I DONT KNOW IS IF I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE INTERNET SO THAT IT WORKS OR IS IT FREE.....PLZ I NEED HELP

There should be internal programs for all the maps.  What you may have to pay for is upgrades, traffic services, any real time info, etc  Other than that, they are all pretty self contained.  Use the unit first before you buy it from your friend if you are able.

it should have the maps with it.

if not then i suggest you dont buy it. if it has all the software and maps you dont use internet at all. ps please stop yelling when typing use lower case turn cap locks off.

No internet is needed. It works with a rechargeable battery and by plugging it into your car's cigarette lighter. No charge is extra for the portable GPS. (Maybe if you want to hook up with traffic reports or something like that, but I don't have that feature).
