GPS System...?

Question

If I were to buy a GPS System from best buy or somewhere and use it in my car would my car become traceable?.. or are you only able to be tracked when a GPS system comes with the car? I'm pretty sure it does, but I just wanted to be sure... sometimes I'm technologically challenged :)

GPS devices are receivers only unless you buy a specific device that has tracking capability.  This means that they are like an AM/FM radio and don't send out their own signal and are not trackable.
