From accuracy and basic usage point of view, what makes them so different in prices ??

The price difference is due to the features in the GPS device.  I assume you are talking about the automotive models.  I can discuss handhelds also.  Cheaper models are basic - they just have the maps and will give you voice directions.  You spend a little more and you will get text-to-speech directions which will speak the name of the street.  Spend more and you will get an audio-out jack for connecting to your car speaker system and you might get Bluetooth capability for syncing your cell phone.  Spend even more, and you might get real-time traffic data.  And if you have any more money left to spend, you can get some data from the internet like restaurant reviews and gas prices based on your location.


  2. honestly, all they really have that is different is what maps are loaded in them, how they look, and whether or not you have to buy new maps or download them into it.

    they all work the same way, and are just as accurate as one another.

    before you decide to buy one check the package to make sure it has the maps you will need, ie if you go on vacation, and whether or not the upgrades and new maps are free or if you have to pay for them
