Yes of course the Gracie family is very famous.  They even have some partner Jiu Jitsu clubs up here in Canada (branch offs) They are known as the founders of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Their family tree goes wayyyy back in B.J.J.  Gastão Gracie was the founder of the Gracie Style Jiu Jitsu, and had never been defeated.  Very famous family.  They are well known for coming out to the octagon in full Gi as a family, in a triangle, the triangle represents a perfect base.

Almost impossible not to have if you are involved in martial arts and MMA.

Gracie is the last name of the famous Gracie family that made Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu famous in the USA.

Helio Gracie is the father of Royce, Royler, Renzo..and others that have all sprung off-shoot schools under the Gracie name.

They all teach the same style, with small variances and are well known for developing the future of ground fighting.

I train under Cleber Luciano who is affiliated with the Gracie family because he got his black belt from Royler Gracie.

I have even had the pleasure of training with Royler once.  And yes, he is that good.

It is the most famous "Brand" of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  There are many "Gracie Jiu Jitsu" schools, and many have merely paid a franchise fee to obtain the name for their gym.  Make sure the school's instructors are actually qualified.
