  1. "She has seen the movie"

HAVE is used with the following:

    I

    We

    You

    They

Plural names like Boys, Girls, Students

HAS is used with the following:

    She

    He

    It

Singular names like Boy, Girl, Student, Smith

  2. She has seen the movie.

    She = the subject.

In this case the subject is third person (meaning you're talking about someone else) and singular (only one person). You conjugate the verb to match the subject. So it's "she has."

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Singular subject ------- Plural subject

First person................... I have seen...............We have seen

Second person...............You have seen...........You have seen

Third person...................(S)he has seen..........They have seen

(sorry about how messy that looks, you can't just create spaces)

Understandable confusion with all the other 'haves' that are used! :)

You would use 'have' in the instance of 'she would have seen the movie, but she was late to the theater' or 'she will have seen the movie by next week.' Those are more complicated verb tenses though. That's just how it is!

    Hope that helps.

  3. He/She has seen the movie.

    We have seen the movie.

    They have seen the movie.

  4. she has seen the movie

  5. "To have done something"

is a verb tense that is not regular.

The past tense of to have done something is

    I have done

    you (singular) have done

    he,she,it has done

    we have done

    you (plural) have done)

    they have done.

So for the verb "to see" applied to a movie:

    She has seen the movie.

To use have, you need to be asked, "Have you seen, has she seen, etc."

The present is the time-line drawn let's say down the center of a page as a solid vertical. Left of that is what happened in the past; and forward to the right of the line is what will happen in the future.

this happened in the past and "she has seen the movie", past tense, third person singular.

    Hope this helps.

    I have tried.
