L'ami - Ran well last year until he fell but should do better this year without Tony McCoy on him.

dont back any horse carrying more than 10 -11lb

dont back a horse what does not stay at least 3 miles

look for horses who`ve run with credit in other major staying handicaps. ie welsh national, irish national, english national.

pick at least 2 as even the best horse can get carried out or fall. by now you have narrowed it down to six. mon mome,

cornish sett, comply or die, bob hall is a dark horse.
