I was wondering if there are any differences between the computer based GRE and the paper based test. Could any one tell me the pros and cons of either/both? Thanks.

  1. Computer based advantages:

-You have to do well in the beginning, maybe the first half of the questions, and even if you don't do well in the end, your score is still decent.

    -score given immediately

    Disadvantages

-You can't go back and do any problem.

    Paper based advantages

-You can go back and do a problem

-You can work out on the work book itself

-Better to strategize because you can skip a problem and go back

    Disadvantages

    -score given later

-law of avverages doesn't work as well on this test
