My best friend and me have never fell out and we have known each other since last year. But i have noticed now that when we go to the stables to help out together, every time i do something she's always pointing out a tiny weeny mistake, so my confidence has gone down a lot. Like today i got asked to walk a pony around the yard and i'd wanted to do it for ages and i was walking her around i felt really good but then she pointed out ''her rug is to the side'' and sure, it wasn't perfectly in the middle of the horse's back but ...

1. I hadn't even put the rug ON!!

2. its bound to go to the side a bit because we had been walking around for a while!!

it feels really horrible when you try to do something and you're proud of it and then someone comes and knocks you down. It's even worse when it's your best friend ... Help me :'(

  1. True friends do not want to knock you down but help you up.

  2. I know it can be tough if someones always criticizing you but your friend might just want to help you.

  3. My guess is that your friend's mother and/or father are extremely critical and she picked up this behavior because she's constantly being criticized by them. In this scenario, you represent "her" and she represents "mom". So realize this isn't about you and your faults. She's simply re-enacting stuff from her daily life at home. Ignore all criticisms and act as though she said nothing. Because she is pretty much talking to herself.

  4. I've answered a question like this before, and soon she might be like, If you don't give me this, then I' leaving and I won't be your friend. She's using you and taking advante of you so when she does it, it'll be perfect.
