  1. gsp because he's been on the top for a long time and he's been looking great in his last couple fights.

the pressure might get to fitch, but it should be a great fight either way.

  2. I just hope GSP learned his lesson from Serra. Obviously he can do some damage, just ask Matt Hughes when he's finished wiping away the tears from his eyes. I'll take Rush 2nd round KO.

  3. If and only IF Jon Fitch attacks GSP will he be victorious.

If JF gives him any respect, GSP will take advantage and win.

    GSP cannot defend.

  4. This a close fight to call.

I give the edge to GSP, as a fan, i want GSP to win and l**k the welterweight division clean.

    So here it is...

Jon Fitch is a former wrestling captain for Purdue and his fighting style is mostly based on wrestling (takedowns, sprawling) but as he matured in the UFC he improved his stand up and submission skills, especially his submission defense, as many hardcore fans know that Fitch is a tough guy to submit, very, very, though. He knows how to create space inside triangle chokes and always keeps calm. He's wrestling skills are superb, he may be difficult to submit, which seems to be part of GSP's plan, although he's been knocked down but never knocked out, Fitch seems to recover fast from flash knockdowns which give him a chance to survive a GSP barrage. I would really like to see how he plays St. Pierre's pace and how will he execute his gameplan.

For me Fitch should keep the fight standing but not for a long time, he should try for a hail-mary but methodical kinda punch may it'll wiggle some wires in GSP's head, then take the fight into the ground, he may win by TKO or via decision.

Ironically, all GSP has to do is be himself, he is the very anti-thesis of Jon Fitch, GSP is the bane of all wrestler's existence. GSP can outwrestle any NCAA all american wrestler in UFC, just look at Matt Hughes and Josh Koscheck, so Fitch must be very careful and choose his takedowns well, similar to what he did to Matt Serra on their last bout, GSP can transistion from stand up to ground in a very frantic pace, in which if Fitch will stall for a moment he will definitely be taken down, KO'd or be submitted, GSP has the best all around game in the UFC but his chin (and temple) might be his demise, history showed that GSP can be knocked out if the right punch will be rightly thrown at the right time, just ask Matt Serra.

Ultimately I'll give this fight to Rush because of his Championship experience, all around game, he'll just have to keep himself from being KO'd although i don't think Fitch is that heavy handed, to Fitch's consolation, if he execute a brilliant gameplan that will catch GSP off his guard then he'll definitely win the match, because i'm not counting Jon Fitch out, never, not in UFC or in MMA.

  5. thats way 2 close 2 be able 2 call

  6. I think GSP is one of the best fighters in the world hands down. But I do see some holes in his game and if a fighter has a good strategy going into the fight, they can win. But I don't think Jon Fitch is going to be the person to do that. Jon Fitch is coming into this fight riding a 15 fight win streak. But his best recent win in those fight is against Diego Sanchez and I don't think Diego is all that good. I think GSP is going to try to stand up with Fitch and look for the knock out. I see GSP winning by TKO in the second round.

  7. GSP

  8. hey i asked this question too...lol but seriously gsp will take it he will take him down easily and then gnp him or throw kicks just like he did to serra, fitch is a good fighter to win as much in a row as he did but i dont see him taking down gsp and thats what hes going to try. gsp by 2nd round ref stoppage

  9. Been a huge Fitch fan for a very long time, but I can't see anyone winning against GSP at the moment unfortunately.

I'll be cheering for JF, but im pretty sure GSP will win (2nd round sub)
