GTA IV won't load games from harddrive?

i accidentally deleted my gamer profile but not my games and now when i go to load the game from the pause menu is says there is nothing on the hard drive, but i have 4 different game saves on it.

  1. You didn't say if you were PS3 or XBox, but on PS3 you can copy the files off to USB or external drive.

    After you're logged in with the new profile, import or copy those saved files back under your new profile.  Hopefully they will show up then.
