The latest Grand Theft Auto 5 rumour has to be the juiciest one yet with the source apparently having worked at the studio where the game is being developed.
Readers ought to be warned that although we are reporting this story, it remains a rumour. However, the fact that it was deleted soon after being posted means that it is one of those rumours that ‘conspiracy theorists’ thrive on.
First, a bit of background on the story and if the source is to be believed then his friend was recently let go by Rockstar. This void the clause of maintaining secrecy on the GTA V game.
The post went on to reveal a number of features and details surrounding the game including details on how the wanted levels would result in the player having to stay out of police sight depending on how many stars he had.
According to the post, if a player was to earn a six star rating then, “military vehicles come after you. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 72 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Some missions become unavailable if you are wanted.”
Sounds rather interesting, but then again it sounds pretty similar to previous GTA games as well, which works both ways in terms of adding credibility to the rumour.
The game will also have online multiplayer and players can form gangs. Each gang will have a territory assigned to them and would also be able to carry out a range of activities to boost their reputation within the game world.
A major potential spoiler, as according to the former Rockstar employee’s friend, the protagonist, who is apparently named Albert de Silva, will not die at the end of the game.
Players can also have Albert smoke marijuana on the street though doing so would increase one’s wanted rating.
As for map size, well it turns out the map in GTA V will be five times that of the one used by Rockstar in Liberty City.
Then again the post could just have been made by someone who has a gigantic troll face at the moment.
