GTA and Toronto....?

Question

Hi I am trying to look for a website that clearly states that GTA is not yet the part of Toronto....but I am not being able to...Can someone please help me..thx? It's not part of any sort of homework...

Well, the GTA consists of Toronto and many other regions such as York, Peel, and more. So the GTA is a part of T.O...since Toronto is in the GTA.

Are you aware that GTA stands for the Greater Toronto Area? Most people consider metropolitan Toronto (the city itself) to be part of the area, but extend it in all directions to include Mississauga, North York, etc... some people even go so far as to include Durham Region and Aurora and all sorts of crazy places.

Wikipedia has a more detailed article on this stuff -- good luck figuring out whatever you're trying to!

You are incorrect. THe GTA is Toronto. i USED To live in the GTA. IT means the greater toronto

several cities that were once sep. are now under the Toronto city only like Etobicoke and York.

They were all forced into Toronto.

other cities are under the gta but still in thier own right and region.

in this we call it a metro area.
