GTT results? .........?

I had my GTT on Friday morning. If there were positive results, do you think I would have heard by now? I'm SO scared of having gestational diabetes. But wouldn't they have gotten the results by now? I hear most people get them in a day or two.

  1. at the lab i work at, the results for that test would be at the doctor's office the next day if not faxed that evening.

I'm not sure how your lab works there, but it's a simple glucose test.

You doc should have the results, and if you are concerned, give the clinic a call!

  2. The bloodwork for those test are done very quickly.  I would call your doctor in the morning and ask outright if they haven't contacted you - most likely that's where the bottleneck is.

  3. usually they would contact you immediatly to let you know if you have it i know i never got contacted with mine as the results came back negative for it ...

if you are still worried give them a call to put your mind as rest it is a hard time waiting for those types of things

  4. I'm pregnant now and in my 38th week. My test was negative but I waited until about my 30th week to get the test done. They didn't tell me anything until my next appointment which was the next week. I wouldn't necessarily worry about it (I know it's easier said then done) but if it were anything real serious that could cause complications they would have notified you. The doctor's office should recieve the results the next day. If you have reason to believe that there is a problem then just call your doctor.

    Hope it helps...
