GUN old s&w gun help me identify

Question

ok i have an old 38 5 shot revolver on the top of the barrel it has 38. S & W then the serila i belive cant read well though the serial is ard to read i mean but then on the inside of the spiner which holds the bullets is a circle in it is ELG and e is on top and lg on bottom like pyramid it is a break open revolver has half circle aimer and wooden handle if anyone can help me please tell me

Went to their site and didn't find a history department about guns.  You could try to email them and ask if they have any information about their gun or could email a fact sheet back to you.

P.S.  'the spinner which holds the bullets' I think is called the cylinder.
