this guy made it clear he liked me even though we've never spoken to eachother before. it's a long story but I first saw him 8th grade and I've never had eye contact like that before. it was just like I loved looking into his eyes like we were the only two people. next time I saw him was a year later in high school but we didn't have any classes together. he would stare at me in the hallways a lot, but when I looked back he would act like I wasn't there (lol). one of my friends had a class with him, so to be sure that he liked me I told her to bring my name up to another one of my friends in that class. she said his head popped up and he listened. 10th grade he would just stare at me really hard/deep all the time in the hallways. I thought it was kind of creepy at first then I just started thinking he's probably intrigued (bc when he first saw me I was really outgoing and friendly and for the past 2 years I had been depressed and anti social). I WAS REALLY SHY. I would look back and look away, but I never smiled at him (I was depressed. I never smiled at anyone). last day of school, it was me, him, and one of his friends in the hallway. he walked by and I looked at him then looked straight ahead like he wasn't there (because it was awkward. he would ignore me for a little while then stare at me that weird way. I had also heard the day before from a friend that she saw him kissing someone. I overreacted and just thought 'u have a girlfriend.'). Now he acts like I'm not there and looks mean or mad when he's around me.
I feel guilty like I hurt his feelings because looking back, he probably saw it as rejection when the truth is I was just really, REALLY shy and didn't know how to respond.
Have I screwed things up?
Is there any way I can fix things?
