GUYS! wHat'S hOlDiN' hIm bAcK?

Question

I like this guy-obviously. He's a good friend of mine. One day he'll be totally confident,sit by me,scoot close, etc...And then a few days later, he'll have this hurt puppy look like I broke his heart. How do I find out what's going on with him. He's really shy and I want him to ask me out...

I flirt with him. I say hi to him alot. I smile. But then he doesn't pay attention. When I stop,he looks like he's been abandoned.

I have no clue, he doesnt have much confidence I guess, that or he doesnt like you he just likes the attention.

if he is generally insecure, try to engage in longer conversations, not just smiling and saying hi. He might be shy in a way when you smile, like not know what to do, or shy to smile back. Talk to him- (he possibly looks abandoned when you stop smiling because he might possibly like you ( i don't know the full situation) and is just confused on how to send signals.

If what I said about his personality makes any sense and that could fit him, then i would try to talk to him ( not about whats going on), but about other things you too have in common, like classes. Make him feel confident and comfortable around you.
