longer to realize what you had with a special person is really who you want for good....this is of course after you have made it pretty clear the chick you had wasnt what you wanted and you acted like you didnt care about her so after months of your verbal abuse she accepts it very hurt and leaves you alone, she stops calling, she stops all communication....and now you call and say the sweetest things and beg her basically to call you back and please answer the phone.....

behavior like that is un acceptable much less shouldn't be tolerated though in all fairness the question is abit general in the sense that guys arn't all like that

Not all guys are like that, and if you waste your time on guys who are, you'll never find someone decent.  Guys who act like that aren't going to change.
