Gabby Sims wins Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke title: 2011 High School State Championships
Gabby Sims thrashed her rivals during the final session of the 2011 High School State Championships in Winnetka, Illinois, on November 19. Sims appeared in the Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke final heat, where she claimed the golden crown due to her remarkable
swimming effort in the pool against her challengers.
Gabby Sims was the hot favourite to win the final battle against her opponents. More importantly, Sims rose to the expectations of her followers during the final encounter of the meet, as she outperformed her competitors in the pool by banging the finishing
barrier in a mouth shattering time of 55.80 seconds to win the Girl’s 100 yard back-stroke title.
Meanwhile, Jessica Sutherland took home the silver medal in the respective race by claiming the finishing wall in a winning blot of 56.73 seconds and Madison Blaydes settled at third spot in a mark of 56.96 seconds.
Afterwards, the Girl’s 100 yard breast-stroke title was taken over by Paulina Kaminski in a thrilling time of 1 minute and 03.96 seconds. Meanwhile, Megan Sellers earned second place honours in a time of 1 minute and 04.47 seconds and Michelle Garland settled
at third spot in a time of 1 minute and 04.51 seconds, respectively.
Moreover, Haley Wickham secured fourth position in the respective splash by banging the finishing divider in a time of 1 minute and 04.81seconds and Molly Coonce settled at fifth position by touching the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 04.86
seconds.
In the meantime, Rachel Prorok got sixth position in the respective race by clicking the finishing fence in a mark of 1 minute and 05.62 seconds. Kara Lucenti claimed seventh spot in a mark of 1 minute and 04.78 seconds and Riley Hayward settled at eighth
place in 1 minute and 04.95 seconds.
Hallie Hengels grabbed ninth position in the respective race in a time of 1 minute and 05.54 seconds, whereas, Courtney Taylor settled tenth after she touched the finishing wall and ended her swim in a time of 1 minute and 05.73 seconds.
