The Atletico Madrid midfielder has stated that Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is almost unstoppable and is a treat to watch with the ball at his feet.
Atletico Madrid are set to travel to Camp Nou for their upcoming La Liga fixture against a table topping Barcelona side.
Barcelona currently hold a 6 point lead over the Madrid based side and will be looking to make a huge leap towards the La Liga title, if they manage to get all from the top of the table clash at the weekend.
Atletico themselves are having a great season and their league position at this point in the season was not expected at all. The main driving force behind the squad is that they are ahead of their arch city rivals, Real Madrid, in the standings.
Real are currently 3rd, being 5 points behind Atletico.
Ahead of the highly anticipated match between Atletico and Barcelona, the Rojiblancos midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-c14281 Fernandez has talked up about the encounter.

He also talked about Messi’s game style and stated that the Argentine forward is most dangerous when the ball is at his feet.
"We've been debating how to stop Messi for 10 years. It's difficult because he's the most talented player in the world. With the ball at his feet he's almost unstoppable."

"Above all else, we have to play as a team and keep it tight so that he can't find the space he needs to go past people."
A win for Atletico at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s home would see them reach the 40 point mark, which has never been touched by them this early in a season.
"Of course a win would be nice, but more importantly a step in the right direction, because it would move us closer to our goal, which is to be up there with the best, in the Champions League. We're going there to win."
The match is set to be played on the 16th of December and both the sides will be looking to battle for the maximum share of points.
