Gabrial The Hero hot favourite for One Cost Handicap
Gabrial The Hero is expected to dominate proceedings in the One Cost Handicap at Chester in England on Saturday, May 26, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will walk away with a cash prize of £5,175.
The going will be good in the 1 mile, 3 furlong and 79 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:25 GMT, and a total of seven runners will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: Gabrial The Hero, Singalat, Enery, Tidal Way, Rapid Heat Lad, Moataz
and Gabrial´s King.
Although there are some very good runners taking part in the race, the bookies believe that Gabrial The Hero has the best chances of winning today. He is in very good form and his overall record will encourage the punters to risk the maximum number of bets
on him.
The three-year-old colt has participated in four events until now, winning one of them and finishing runner up on a couple of times. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot once, which means that he has never dropped out of the top three
in his career.
The David Simcock’s trainee started off his campaign in the sport positively and continued to improve with the passage of time. He was extremely dominant in his most recent run, winning by seven lengths. He was rated as the favourite to win and lived up
to the expectations of everyone in the end.
If Gabrial The Hero performs in a similar way, he will not allow anyone else to come closer in the race. He will be partnered by young jockey, Alice Haynes, who does not have a lot of experience and will be a touch nervous today.
On the other hand, Rapid Heat Lad might also manage to make a strong impression in the race at Chester, as he is in good form. He has got the experience of eight races, but has won just one of them. Other than that, he has also secured the third place on
the same number of times.
The three-year-old colt will be ridden by Chris Catlin in the race. The seasoned jockey has won quite a few races, but does not have a good strike rate at all.
