I'm 14 and i am looking for things to do in South Bank, London. I don't have enough money for designer clothes, but i heard Gabriel's Wharf is a good place to go with shops? What's it like? If it's not very good are there any other places in South Bank that a 14 year old girl would like?

  1. Gabriels Wharf is mostly restaurants and bars so there is not much shopping to be had there. The Tate Modern gallery is fantastic and free - look at all the wonderful art. The gallery has a fantastic shop, Very interesting. The whole south bank area has been revamped and is a lot of fun. Have a look at this website - www.southbanklondon.com

  2. Gabriel's Wharf is a fun place to go for a stroll and for lunch, but no good for shopping ... for a 14 year old the best place would be Camden ... all the way up from Camden Town tube station up to Camden Lock you'd be spoilt for choice ... but it's a bit of a distance from the South Bank I'm afraid

  3. If you are in London on any given Sunday morning, and money is a bit tight, go to petticoat lane, it's an open air market place with hundreds of stalls, selling everything you will ever need, and cheap too.

Brick lane, wentworth street, and all the surrounding streets within a two mile radius are heaving with sellers and buyers alike.

    Station close by:

    Liverpool street

    Aldgate east

    And Aldgate.

    Forget the southbank
