AS Roma defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Heinze-c14310 is targeting victory in Derby della Capitale against Lazio this weekend.
However, the Argentine maintained that the outcome of the derby will not alter their ambitions for the ongoing season.
The experienced defender spoke candidly about the derby matches, and believes that they weigh the same as other games. The former Manchester United player clarified his statement by stating that he did not
mean that there will be less of an effort on his part due to that realisation, and expressed his hunger for a win.
While talking to the reporters, Heinze said:
"This [the Roman derby] is an important game, no doubt, but it is fair to say that we cannot save our season by just winning this game. We will give the maximum, but more challenges lie ahead after this obstacle.”
When questioned about AS Roma’s quest for the third position, the defender became pragmatic in his reply, and commented that they will wait for that until the end of the season.
“If we were not good enough, maybe someone else will take it."

Talking about last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Atalanta, Heinze admitted that Daniele De Rossi’s absence had an effect on the Giallorossi, but he claimed that team is responsible for the defeat.
"We lack a bit of conviction, but I think this is normal. We are a new, young team, and patience is required."
AS Roma will play hosts to Lazio at Stadio Olimpico Rome on Sunday, March 4. The Giallorossi are placed sixth in the league table, while their local rivals are on the 4th spot.
