Barcelona’s manager, Pep Guardiola has gone ahead and stated that he is open to Gabriel Milito parting ways with the team, this transfer window. However, despite having stated that, the manager is keener on allowing the defender to leave on a loan, rather
than letting him leave for good. This news though, has alerted almost every team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Italy, as the top clubs in Europe have started to plot a possible capture of the player.
The Argentinean international was chased by a number of teams before he made his way to Barcelona in 2007. One of the team’s that were rumoured to be on the verge of signing the player back then were Liverpool.
When Guardiola was asked about his decision to allow the player to leave, he responded by saying that the decision that was made, was the player’s and not his own.
The manager is reported to have said,  “There are decisions that I make or the club makes but this one is exclusively his (Milito’s)”
“Knowing him, I understand (his wish to leave).
“But I am not upset. It’s impossible to be upset with Gaby.
“Believe me, I have been a soccer player and I put myself in his shoes and I understand it.”
When Milito was signed by Barcelona in 2007, he was slowly starting to establish a name for himself as one of the best defenders in the world. However, a series of unfortunate events, which saw him picking up an injury and the emergence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Pique,
saw the player get dropped down the pecking order.
According to most experts, two teams that should and most probably are looking to land the player are Arsenal and Liverpool. Both the teams are currently running low on talent in their defensive line-ups and the addition of a player like Milito could only
help them stabilize their backline.
At the current moment, it is rumoured that if Milito is to pick a team out of the two, then he is bound to head to the Emirates. This is because Arsenal are currently in a far better position than Liverpool and also have a vacancy for a world class defender
like Milito. Along with that, the fact that Wenger has stated that he might have to go shopping if Vermaelen doesn’t pick himself up faster, only helps add fuel to this speculation.
