Gabriel Milito set to make shock move to Premier League
Barcelona, who are the current reigning champions of Spain are looking to offload one of the team’s best center backs. The player that the team are looking to let go is none other than the teams veteran centre back, Gabriel Milito.
The reason for the team wanting to do so is because of the fact that the player has had his fair share of scares with injures and along with that Barcelona feel that they should now give chances to younger players to prove themselve at the team.
Milito’s move to the Nou Camp never really went according to plan. The thrity year old ever since arriving  at the club has struggled to make his name in the starting eleven and as a result has been a very rare addition to the teams line up.
The player who was signed from Real Zaragoza in his prime, might just be on his way out of the  Catalans might just make his last appearance after which there are rumours that the player might hand his boots. However there is interest in signing him by a
couple of clubs.
The two teams who have shown the most interest in the player are Manchester City and Arsenal. Both the teams are in desperate need of a quality centre back and if Milito is still half the player that he was a season ago, then he would prove to be a worthy
addition to both the sides.
Most experts however strongly believe that a move to the Emirates would be far better for the player as compared to a move to the Eastlands. This is because if the player does decide to join City, he would more than likely end up suffering the same fate
that he was suffering at Barcelona, which was to be left out on the bench for numerous games.
On the other hand if he does move to Arsenal the player will be guaranteed a spot in at least one of the two sides that Wenger fields. That means the player will not only stay in shape, but his international career would also get back on track.
Since the players is now in his thirties he won’t cost as much as he would have a couple of seasons ago, the players market evaluation is currently set at around eight million pounds, but with Milito wanting to leave the team, he might be allowed to leave
for a price much lower than that.
It is now a matter of waiting to see what team tries to snatches the player first.
