Gabriel Ulldahl crushes Rune Ulsing to penetrate into Men’s Singles semi-final at Spanish Open 2012
Sweden’s upcoming shuttler Gabriel Ulldahl stole the limelight as he penetrated into Men’s Singles semi-final after crushing Denmark’s Rune Ulsing in quarter-final contest at Spanish Open 2012 on Saturday, May 19, in Spain.
The un-seeded Gabriel, who has been impressive in all matches of Spanish Open, put up remarkable show in quarter-final as well and toppled his Danish rival in an emphatic fashion.
The Swedish shuttler was just incredible in the court while playing against Ulsing and stamped his mark over the Danish in straight sets by taking just 30 minutes.
On the other hand, Ulsing failed to remain positive in the court and also could not dominate the pace of rallies at any stage. He was helpless against the planned and positive play of his rival and lost the battle.
In the first set, both men put up superb show in the court by playing with aggression and also remained close on the board at the initial stage.
The Swedish player occupied the driving seat and started to manipulate all loopholes of his opponent.

In the second game, Ulsing employed his powerful smashes and remained successful in remaining close of his rival on the score board.
In the meanwhile, Gabriel found a good rhythm and started to create gap. Until the break, he was leading the set with a reasonable margin.
After the interval, Gabriel continued his positive and elevated play and did not let his Danish challenger to control the pace at any stage in the concluding half.
The Swedish shuttler displayed phenomenal play in and eventually won the second game with a convincing margin of 21-16.
Gabriel emerged as victorious in this quarter-final battle in straight sets with a striking 21-18 and 21-16 margin on the board.
