The former director of the Beneamata outfit has gone on to state his shock and disappointment in the loss of Inter Milan against AC Siena at the San Siro.
The Beneamata were widely expected to be cruising to a victory in their week four encounter of the Serie A, and he also went on to comment that there was an urgent need for the Nerazzurri to get back to winning ways. He has shown his disappointment with
Andrea Stramaccioni’s side for not being able to win the relatively easy matches, which is necessary if the club is to have big aspirations.
The Robur were a determined side and as most clubs do when they come to the San Siro, they played extremely defensively and started asking questions of the attack of the Giuseppe Meazza outfit, who were not able to reply back in the best of fashion.
It was a lack lustre performance by the Beneamata outfit and they never really threatened to go into the lead in the match. The match was a relatively dull affair, and the Beneamata outfit did not have any answers to the rigid defence of the Robur, and after
two swift counter attacks; the home side saw themselves trailing by two goals in the match.
They were not able to make much of the game and the San Siro fans had to go back disappointed. Oriali, who was in charge of dealing with the transfers at the club, has mentioned that this was not the result he had hoped for. However, he mentioned that the
visitors thoroughly deserved the victory as the San Siro outfit was not up to the task.
He further remarked that the San Siro outfit has the ability to bounce back from the disappointment and mentioned that Stramaccioni is capable of propelling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 to that level, and mentioned:
“I did not expect this defeat to be honest. I thought there was every reason Inter would win, but I must say Siena deserved the victory. Inter played a good game up to a certain point, but didn't take their chances. Hopefully Stramaccioni will be able to
find a solution quickly. We are playing against Chievo on Wednesday, so the time for recovery is very short.”
