http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-Gabulov-c36341 hails Suleyman Kerimov and revealed the reason behind signing a new contract with the ambitious Russian club.
There’s little arguing that Suleyman Kerimov has raised the standards at Anzhi Makhachkala by signing talented and experienced players. The promising project has an exciting outlook ever since Kerimov joined at the helm.
The Russian billionaire brought http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317, Benoit Angbwa and Mehdi Gonzalez to the Russian Premier League, barely a month after taking over the reign at Makhachkala stadium.
However, the last summer transfer window remains the most exciting for the Russian outfit, as they managed to sign two sensational players for a whopping 42 million Euros. Samuel Eto’o and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yuri-Zhirkov-c37683 joined the Dagestani club
from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, respectively.
The Dagestani club did some productive business during the January transfer window, too, with Oleg Shatov and Vladimir Gabulov signing deals at the Makhachkala-based club.
Gabulov, who penned down a permanent deal before spending a season-long loan spell at Anzhi, has revealed his delight upon signing a contract.
“I had a long-term agreement with my former club. But Anzhi redeemed me for a lot of money and, accordingly, invited me to Makhachkala. I took this challenge wholeheartedly. In addition, this contract indicates that Anzhi have
started building themselves as a bigger club.” The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.
He added: “I realized that the project Anzhi is exciting after meeting with Suleyman. Kerimov wants this team to win everything.”
The former CSKA Moscow player went on to admit that he had less playing time at the Moscow-based club, prompting him to leave the Luzhniki stadium during the last transfer window.
“To win the league is still possible theoretically, but I think we will start fighting for the league title next season.” Gabulov concluded.
Anzhi are at the seventh spot on the league table and trail the league leaders, Zenit St. Petersburg, by 13 points. Gabulov urged his teammates to claim maximum points in the remaining matches of the season.
