Gaby Sanchez’s grand slam gives a 6-5 victory to Florida Marlins against St. Louis Cardinals

Florida Marlins are essentially changing the narrative that says a trailing team cannot emerge as a winner in the game. Despite faced with deficits in the eleven of eighteen games that Marlins have played, they have come ahead as the ultimate winner.
On May 2, 2011, at St. Louis, Florida Marlins once again did the impossible. They were behind twice in the game, but somehow stormed back and snatched a 6-5 victory against St. Louis Cardinals.
Mike Stanton has a convincing perspective to offer for such unpredictability from his team:
“These are the kind of games that show what type of team you are", Stanton said. "We're definitely showing we're a different team from the previous year".
The team manager, who is obviously having a good time with his team standing sixth in the ranking, says this about Florida’s performance:
“If we're in a close game in the fifth or sixth inning," said manager Edwin Rodriguez, "we know we have a very good chance".
St. Louis Cardinals, which have for a considerably long period of time remained a competitive side, started Monday night’s game fast with an early lead. Lance Berkman was the first to lay the foundation for a solid start, even if the disappointment came
his way at the end.
When the failure seemed almost certain and happened at the end, Berkman was frustrated:
"Heck, I'd like to win it every week", Berkman said. "You try to ride the hot streaks as long as you can ride them and hope that the down times don't last too long".
The early 2-0 lead to Saint Louis Cardinals came by Berkman and Yadier Molina, who scored on Marlins’ start pitching, Chris Volstad’s fastballs.
However, Gaby Sanchez’s grand slam could not have come at a better time than this. Trailing behind, Florida Marlins’ hitter went for the fourth homer of the season with a massive hit against Kyle Lohse, who was pitching for Cardinals that not only reversed
the deficit, but also gave a 4-2 lead to Florida Marlins.
Lance Berkman’s three-run homer once again put Florida behind, generating avid interest in the nervy game. With a 5-4 lead, Cardinals, tried not to do anything that provided Marlins an opportunity to make a comeback.
But Marlins were able to level the score in the fifth inning with a single off Mike Stanton. Kyle Lohse, it goes without saying, remained costly for Cardinals, giving up five runs.
When the game entered its most critical phase after the score stood level at 5-5, Greg Dobbs of Marlins had a surprise to offer for Cardinals. He hit a sacrifice fly to right, to give a 6-5 lead, which was successfully defended by Clay Hensley, who pitched
two shutout innings to give his Florida Marlins a 6-5 victory against St. Louis Cardinals.
