Gadgets needed to watch a golf tournament?

i am going to watch a golf tournament in october and wanted to know what instruments i need.

for example, what is the name of the tool where you can watch the golfer from back of the audience in case someone is short. it is a long telescope that is pointed straight into the air.

also what gadget do i need to watch the flight path of the ball. sometimes it is hard to follow the ball after a golfer hits it, especially if there are white clouds.

Binoculars to see the ball and an umbrella to protect you from the sun, also some water to stay hydrated.  Thats it.
