Gadzhi Gadzhiyev has urged his side to pick up much needed points in the upcoming Russian Premier League fixture in a bid to avoid relegation to Russian first division
Volga Nizhny Novgorod head coach, Gadzhi Gadzhiyev, has hit out at his own players after highlighting the underperforming squad members as the major reason behind the Russian Premier League club’s questionable form this season.
The 67-year-old Russian tactician, who joined the Volga Natives after leaving Anzhi Makhachkala, last year, criticized his own players after their 1-1 draw against Terek Grozny on Saturday put them in the relegation battle.
There is little arguing to the statement that the Volgari, who secured a place in the Russian top division after claiming a second-spot finish in the lower division, are struggling to meet the expectations after a troublesome start
to the league campaign this term.
The Russian outfit is at the 13th spot on the league table after recording just 3 wins, 5 draws and suffered 10 defeats so far this season.
Gadzhiyev lamented the situation and urged his side to bounce back after turning the tables around.
The former Dynamo Makhachkala boss branded most of the players as a big let down to the club and gave example of Ilya Maksimov, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Salugin-c4608 respectively.
Gadzhiyev revealed that the aforementioned players have been struggling to pick their forms since the start of the season. However, he assured the fans of altering the situation, telling them that it will take him some time to
bring everything in order.
“I would like to warn players like Maksimov, Grigalava, Belozyorov, Shulenin, Polyanin and Salugin. These guys have to do better. I think they need to learn from team captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ruslan-Adzhindzhal-c31920.”
“From the perspective of commitment I have never questioned any player. They always train hard but this component has not helped us. In addition, they need to interact more on the field and understand each other," the former Spartak
Leningrad player was quoted as saying.
Gadzhiev told that they have high hopes from some of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787. However, he admitted that they are not quite ready.
