The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 FC star who is currently under contract at Manchester City, has admitted that the idea of one day playing for Carlo Ancelotti’s side excites him
Since joining English Premier League side Manchester City from Arsenal last summer, France international Gael Clichy has rapidly become one of the best left-backs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. Many people have argued that Les Bleus manager, Laurent Blanc should consider preferring
him ahead of Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 in the upcoming European Championships.
Though he is only in his first year at City, Clichy admits that he has always followed Paris Saint-Germain as a boy and would love to one day, play for them.
While talking to media, the 26-year-old said that he has always followed PSG and added that his favourite player was Brazilian Waldo.
“When you’re young, often you change your mind, but my favourite team was and still is PSG. There was a number 10, a left-sided Brazilian named Waldo. He was my favourite player for a long time.”
While giving a lengthy interview to Surface Magazine, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international admitted that things can quickly change in football and he could one day be playing for a club he has always adored.
“I’m not going to hide it. as I said, Paris is my club at heart. Saying that I would love to play for PSG is something else, but as they say: football goes very quickly and we do not know what the future holds. For sure, donning a Paris shirt, it would be
magical. I wish I knew the league of my country.”
Certainly, Clichy’s heart aches for a return to his native country and being able to play for PSG would be icing on the cake for a player who left his country as an 18-year-old.
Under contract at City until June 2015, the former AS Cannes man is an undisputed holder under manager Carlo Ancelotti. This season, the Frenchman has played 36 games in all competitions and it still remains to be seen whether the Citizens would want to
part with a player for whom they went through so much pains to bring him to the club.
