Gael Clichy out of Arsenal, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa might be victims of Chelsea clear-out
Gael Clichy on his way out of Arsenal
According to rumours that have managed to surface over the course of the last few days, it seems like Arsenal’s French full-back Gael Clichy could be on his way out of the side at the end of the season. However, the more shocking part of this rumour is the
fact that the player is being linked with a move to either Tottenham or Liverpool.
The player is apparently tired of Arsenal refusing to re-negotiate his contract and feels that the team needs to show some serious interest in retaining his services, or he might not be sticking around after his contract expires in fifteen months.
It is rather bizarre that Clichy is considering to make a move to Arsenal’s local rivals Tottenham, however the White Hart Lane could seriously use some cover down the left flank. The same can be said about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, who have been forced to use Glenn Johnson,
a natural right flank player, on the left in recent weeks.
However, if Clichy doesn’t check himself and keeps on insisting that he might walk out of the club, the Gunners might just go on to let him do so. This is because Kieron Gibbs has managed to develop rather well in recent months and seems to be on the verge
of becoming part of the Arsenal squad on a permanent basis.
The club however, would much rather let the player leave for a foreign club, rather than to a local competitor. As a result, the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have been names as possible destinations for the player.
Clichy seems to be well aware of this interest and is reported to have said, "It is great these teams like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38605 and Real Madrid are looking at me. I have two years left on my contract so it is not a question to answer. I want to win something here."
It is now a wait to see how Arsenal deal with this new setback that they are being subjected to.
Chelsea planning major clear-out
It seems like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salomon-Kalou-c32266 and Jose Bosingwa will be leading the list of players who leave the team.
The likes of Juventus and Galatasaray have shown some serious interest in the players and could potentially nab them if they play their cards right.
However, at the same time it also appears that if that is the case, the team will be looking to spend massive pounds and bring in a couple of new faces to the squad.
